PDPM: Looking Back and Planning Ahead
August 13, 2020
The transition to the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) over the last 9 months has not been without its challenges. The COVID-19 curveball thrown at Skilled Nursing Facilities shifted priorities away from the PDPM transition and over to an all hands-on deck approach to prevent the spread of the virus.

This session highlights what we’ve learned over the last 9 months from the patterns in the PointRight national data. Some of these findings may be beneficial, while others could set you up for increased governmental scrutiny. Strategies to identify and address unfavorable trends and missed opportunities will also be discussed. Join Senior Healthcare Specialist Maria Arellano as she looks back over the last 9 months so that we can move forward with data driven decisions and planning.
Learning objectives:
- Summarize three key insights in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) data since the transition to the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM)
- Identify at least two areas of compliance risk to monitor going forward
- Discuss strategies to address unfavorable patterns and trends in PDPM data
