
The October 2020 MDS Changes: What’s the Impact?

CMS has released the draft MDS item sets for October 1, 2020. While the removal of Section G is the most significant change, there are also multiple new items as well as changes to existing ones. This presentation will review the changes, with the expected impact on Skilled Nursing Facility reimbursement, quality reporting, and care planning. We will discuss facility processes that may be affected by the changes, and how your interdisciplinary processes may need to adjust to be ready for October 1.
