Data Analysis in Skilled Nursing Facilities
February 25, 2021
What’s My Data Story Really Telling Me?
The adoption of technology in post-acute care opened a whole new way of data analysis and enables comprehensive data-driven quality improvement processes. Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) certainly generate a lot of data, especially with the Minimum Data Set (MDS), and everyone seems to want to get their hands on it. The interest in SNF data has increased significantly over the last 5 years, especially from referral sources, payers and consumers. If SNF teams are not well-versed on data analysis, it is likely that it could be misinterpreted, or operational decisions can be flawed.
This session covers basic statistical principals and data analysis methods to arm SNF teams with the necessary tools to enhance their investigative and analysis skills for application in their QAPI processes.
